Split modes explained
Page Ranges
Enter ranges like 1-5, 10-15. Creates a separate PDF for each range.
Extract Pages
Enter pages like 1, 3, 5, 7. Creates one PDF with those specific pages.
Split Every N Pages
Divides the PDF into equal parts. A 20-page PDF split every 5 pages creates 4 files.
Frequently Asked Questions
What splitting options are available?
Three modes: (1) Page Ranges — create separate PDFs for ranges like 1-5, 10-15. (2) Extract Pages — create one PDF with specific pages like 1, 3, 5. (3) Split Every N — divide into equal parts of N pages each.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device.
Can I extract non-consecutive pages?
Yes. Use Extract Pages mode and enter the page numbers separated by commas, like "1, 3, 5, 10, 15".
Is there a page limit?
No hard limit. Since processing happens in your browser, very large PDFs (100+ pages or 50MB+) may be slower on older devices.
What happens to the original file?
The original PDF is not modified. Splitting creates new files; your original remains unchanged.
