Frequently Asked Questions

How many PDFs can I merge?

There is no hard limit on the number of files. However, since processing happens in your browser, very large combined file sizes (100MB+) may slow down or crash on some devices.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device.

Can I reorder the PDFs before merging?

Yes. Use the up/down arrows next to each file to change the order. Files are merged in the order shown.

Will the merged PDF keep bookmarks and links?

Basic content and formatting are preserved. Some advanced features like bookmarks, annotations, and form fields may not be carried over depending on the PDF structure.

What if one of my PDFs is password-protected?

Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged without first removing the protection. This tool does not support decrypting protected PDFs.
